I've bought my flights to the North America for May. We'll be flying in to Montreal on the 9th, and either hanging about till Kinetik there or wandering off to another fine Canadian city for a bit. I'll likely head down to DC on the 19th and my flight back to balmy old England is on the 25th.

Leon unfortunately isn't going to be able to make it, but the intrepid Tom that came with us to M'fest is travelling with me for the Canadian bits.

Hmm.. I seem to spend a lot of time here up before anyone else. Between being from the future and having a day job that actually involves working during the day, I'm listening to a lot of people snore.

So far it's been a bit drunken but mostly relaxing.. I am actually digging it as I'm normally rushing from work to mad party to plane and back to work. April was a bit retarded as well, what with mine and Kim's birthdays and two trips to Germany. I'm still meaning to put pictures up, but I grabbed the wrong USB cable and apparently the connector my Nikon uses isn't very standard. Maybe I should just invest in a card reader thing.

Today it's meant to be 26 so we'll be chilling in the park once motivated. Well, at least I will be, I'm not sure that my North American friends get as excited about the sun being out.

Tonight! rasdna turns up! Oh, the festivity! Oh, the beverages! Oh, the smack-talking I've been holding in for months! /me wiggles.

So it's 2 weeks (well, and a day) before I fly back to DC for a bit of work and a bunch of debauchery. What goes on these days nights?

I'm there from the 14th-25th of November and seriously cannot wait to see my friends and eat tater tots. I am also greatly looking forward to sinks that only have one faucet. Good times.

Could anyone please explain why the cathedral bells sometimes keep ringing for ages? They've been going at least half an hour, and this dissonant ass sound is conflicting with my dissonant ass music.

So instead of packing for Infest, I'm screwing around on the internets.. The fact that most of the stuff I need to pack is either still packed from Berlin or hanging up to dry isn't particularily motivational.

Why are people that are not involved with the actual staging of Infest going there so ungodly early? The festival doesn't start till 8pm. Though I understand it's nice to meet up at the bar first and have time to relax, leaving at 11am-noon seems a bit excessive. Perhaps I am just a lazy American, alas.

Also, does anyone know of a good way to take a picture of an X-ray? Or somewhere to buy a backlit frame?

Resonance and Wendy House are this Saturday, and sadly there is no bus.

The price of a taxi from Leeds to Sheffield is £40, so with 4 people it would be £10 each.. Add a one way train ticket to get there at £7 (i think?) and the total cost is only £2 more than the bus. Bonus: you can arrive whenever you want.

I have 1 person down to do this, so I need 2 more. Any takers?
